5k summer series in Phx - Run sub 20 at one of them.
1/2 marathon in early fall, sub 1:30
Long-Term Running Goals: 2010 goal of a 2:55 marathon in a late fall marathon, possibly Tucson.

Usery Pass loop run - Good stuff, my favorite valley run. Got hot, but it always does. Run felt great with a little overheating and a little dehydration. Next time I bring a bigger water bottle. |

| More canal miles at 0540 am, a little warmer today, no cloud cover. First few miles were slow but finally got going, hit a hard one at mile 6. Hope to do 3 more of these distance this week prior to 5k on Saturday for a week total of 41. No pain anywhere, but a little tired from the new weekday distance, will try to flow tomorrow thru the whole run. |

| Great easy run on the canals, finally slowed down after my legs felt like they were beat up. I think I crossed a hurdle today in running more miles by finally being forced to let the mileage build up with easy miles instead of trying to push every run. |

| After a nice 3 day rest, back to the mileage, aiming for 42-45 this week. Today was a slow start but turned into a nice ramble. Ended up feeling pretty easy. |

Canal miles, it is hot, got out at 5:35, was hot by finishing at 6:45. May need to get up earlier to get done earlier for the next month. Good news is the sunrise is getting later again. |
